Had that noise in a t-case on an 08 f350 I worked on. The company that built the t-case forgot to put the oil pump in. The main bearing for the out put shaft was missing 6 *****. When the others would go around they would fall through the void of the missing ones and hit the next ball causing the pennies in a jar sound. I dont think yours has an oil pump in the t-case but it was a Lack of lube problem and if your t-case is leaking who knows. Good luck if its not already fixed

I have the same kind of noise coming from my right front. I could not figure it out. I had to put new wheel bearing assembly on that side so while I had it appart I checked every thing else and all was fine no noise. I have weld alumimum wheels and thought it might be the hub cap but they were not loose. So just out of curiosity I took the hub cap off and drove it noise went away but I can not figure out how it was making the noise. I put the hub cap back on and the noise is back. It is starting to do it on the left side now. Not sure how to fix it.

Lube the contact points of the hub cap where it locks on to the wheel or lug nuts. If its a hub cap with a wire it might be were the wire is attached . A HELL LUBE IT ALL.
