Well the symptoms didnt change even after the rebuild was done. I've got about 9k on the rebuild now, and its felt this way since day one, even with the old trans. The rebuild tightened the shifting, stopped slipping, and stopped bucking up and down in and out of od so that was great but it did NOTHING for the bottom end...

Can you go back to the tranny shop that rebuilt it and ask them what kind of torque convertor they put in? Ask them what is the stall speed for it. It sure sounds like it is a very inifficient one if the engine has to rev to 2000 rpms to get her moving. A tq works like putting two fans face to face and turning one on, the air blowing from it will turn the other one and the closer you put them together the quicker the other will turn. The tq just uses fluid instead of air. Ok Im rambling on but Im sure thats your problem...good luck with it..........
