Replacing Valve cover gaskets
Replacing Valve cover gaskets
I have a 95 12 valve Dodge Ram. The valve cover gaskets are slowly leaking onto the exhaust manifold, so I bought 6 sets of felpro gaskets.
Cylinders 1-4 look like a walk in the park. Cylinder 5 and 6 look like hell to deal with, with number 5 looking like it's the hardest.
My plan of attack is remove/replace the front 3 then take on the rear 3. Sound like a plan?
Any tips on removing the rear 2 valve covers? I also would really like to know how you people adjust the valves on the rear 2 cylinders?

It does look harder than it is.
Finished in under 2 hours. But I didn't adjust the valves. Not confident in my skills enough yet.
I dropped some leaves and debris in the valve area, will this be an issue? At one point an acorn dropped next to a pushrod, good thing it was too big to go down the hole. I sprayed as much debris away as I could.
