Anyone know of a good shop in or around the greater san antonio texas area for getting my timing done at a reasonable price?

Also what would be a good number to have it set at? Have heard 16.5º all over this site, but i dunno if thats for decently bombed trucks or what? Not too much done to the truck (plugged waste gate pegging 40psi, bhaf, 3gsk, and home brewed plate close to a 100), but I am a little worried about bumpin it too much with my stock headgasket and headbolts... Anyhoo, any insight would be appriciated!

 

whatch it with that stock turbo, HX35's don't like much over 35psi, also drive preasures go through the roof above about 30, That will kill a head gasket as quick as to much timing.... I would get a boost elbow and hook the waste gate back up and then set timing to 16.

Well I think the wastegate is somewhat fubar'ed. One day it started behaving weirdly. With it connected could only get around 12psi, and just ran like crap. Then I plugged it with a cap, and poof, back to normal power and all of the sudden I can peg 40psi pretty easily.

Anyone lead me in the right direction as far as timing shops go? Talked to a dealership today. Said they'd do the timing job for right at $200, but they wouldn't adjust it past stock, so....?
