Pulls hard left when braking?

My truck pulls straight left it seems like when I brake. It doesn't do it so much at slower speeds when I gradually slow down, but going faster and when I have to brake fast it pulls hard. What do you all think? Bad right caliper, right rear not adjusted? Any ideas are appreciated.

Possibly a track bar or alignment issue. The suspension compressing from the weight transfer under hard braking can cause a "bump" steer condition...even without hitting a bump. Mine did the same thing before I built a new trackbar and mount. If that is the case, it is a geometry problem and cannot be easily solved.

I can't tell which solved my braking left pull but did the following. new pads, scuffed up the rotors with a scotch pads, bled the brake lines good. check air pressure in tires.

Mine was pulling, Tire shop said I needed new calipers. Took it home pulled the calipers off cleaned the bolts and applied brake grease same with the little slide pads. No more pulling.

Right-side caliper usually causes pull to left - greasing slides can help, but do both sides and check and compare overall condition of caliper, disc, and pads to left caliper while you're at it

When mine pulled left while braking the problem was the trackbar.
Before you do any front end work manually check that both your rear brakes are adjusted equally.

Another symptom of loose\worn trackbar is excess steering wheel travel when navigating left\right\left\etc curves at normal road speeds, as the frame shifts on the loose bar - pulling only when braking is not usually symptomatic of loose\worn bar - be sure to check steering wheel travel at speed - can also check while standing still with engine running by laying on ground under front of vehicle, have someone turn wheel back and forth thru 180deg, observe each end of track bar for movement in frame bracket or front axle bracket

first you need to determine if it is the front or the rear. Hit the brakes hard. If the wheel turns it is the front. If the wheel does not turn but the truck still turns, it is the rears.

You can also test if it's coming from the rear by braking with the parking brake.

If your rear axle seals are leaking and contaminated your rear brake shoes this can also cause pulling to one side. You would also experience very grabby brake action for the first couple of stops though. -Glen

Bringing up a older thread here, but I am having this EXACT problem. When I hit the brakes, my truck pulls very hard to the left, and I can hear a slight grinding noise on the left front.

I have had brake problems since the day I first bought my Ram. I took it into the dealer, and they said everything looked fine. Adjusted the rear brakes, inspected for leaks, and sent me home. $150 later, the problem is just as bad as ever.

When I hit the brakes, the wheel wants to turn so I am guessing its not the rear brakes causing the issue. Seems to be a fairly common problem with these trucks pulling to the left, is there a known issue with the pass side caliper?

Check the trackbar, it's easy to do and often the problem.
Just watch the driver's side end of the bar while someone turns the steering wheel slightly back and forth.
If you can see any movement at all in the joint it's bad and needs to be replaced.

And that will cause the truck to dive to the left when braking?
