PCM questions

I have been chasing down a problem on my truck for much too long now, and it is turing out to be either the 5VDC (pin A17 on connector C1 @ PCM) coming from the PCM, or it is the Sensor Ground (pin A4 on connector C1 @ PCM) from the PCM. Now that I have some additional information, I'm hoping to wake up my original threads. Could you please visit the posts from me on 8/14 and tell me what you think? thread 1 & thread 2

Thanks for the help. This is a daily driver and I'm getting so frustrated.

Since you have the factory service manual it might help to order the scan tool manual from Chrysler. Think it's called something like Electronic Systems Diagnostics. It's about $10 and gets into far greater detail than the service manual for electronic problems, much of the steps can be done without a scan tool.

Are you referring to the Powertrain Diagnostics Procedures?

I kinda skimmed through your posts, I have a similar problem, my tach stops working, and if I pound on the dash with my fist it works again. I don't know, you may have other stuff going out besides the tach, but it may be something you could try.
