i was rotating my barrels on my truck and for some reason it wouldnt start well i have the problem isolated but i dont know what to call the piece im missing.
its number 23 in the picture i think but i dont know what they are called, they look like a shim. apparently when i loosened the barrel one or two of them fell out and i cant find them.

anyone have a part number or anything?

thank you so much, but theres no order number. i know for sure i am missing one, do you think the local dodge dealership would be able to order me a few to keep on hand or do i have to order them direct through cummins?
Sorry man, that pic is the best I can do.
What would I do? I'd print the diagram and index and take them into Dodge, or a pump shop maybe? See what they will do... With your diagram at least you can show them the specific part you need...
Please excuse my ignorance, but what's "rotating the barrels" mean and why?

You might as well talk to the wall as try at a dealership, that will be a pump shop only part.
Also, why did you mess with the barrels? Typically you need pump shop equipment to make sure you get it right......

for more fuel. i had been checking the temps on the exhaust ports on the motor and had all but one within 5 degrees of each other and when i went to adjust it the truck wouldnt start and i put them back to stock and it still wouldnt start then i noticed all but one had those shims and was told if they werent there it wouldnt start, and to loosen it and see if it would start and it actually tried to start instead of just cranking.
