Have any of you fellas had to do an overhaul? If so, at how many miles?

Not I but a buddy who hauls rodeo bulls had his '96 rebuilt at 600,000. It was using around quart of oil every 1000 miles. Rest of the truck looked like a bull kicked the tar out of it. Not sure how many miles it has but he used it to haul for a couple more years, it's now reduced to a ranch only rig.

If you take care of them I see no reason the engine won't go 300-500k miles before rebuilding.
