Oil pressure drop after Intercooler hose blow.

I had a intercooler hose pop off at full throttle full boost (~35#) pulling a steep grade and 8000# 5th wheel.(Sounded like a freakin tire blew!!) After I repaired hose, I have noticed the oil pressure is not as strong, especially in warm weather. The truck is a 94 with 191k, banks power pack, strate pipe, now cruises with the needle on the minimum mark on the guage.....running 15-40 delo.

Change to 30w oil?

Bad things happened?

What oil pressure gauge are you referring to? The one in the dash? If so, I'd get a real gauge that you can count on.

Sorry I don't have anything better than that.

ive had my intercooler hoses blow numerous times, but i havent noticed any problems except for zero power when they blow. i know mine blew because of some oil getting in between the seal of the hose and the intercooler, allowing it to slip right off under boost. i used some brake cleaner and clearned it all off and tightened everything up and now ive been trouble free. hth,
