Oil leaking from inner case?
I think I have located my smallish oil leak and it seems to trickle down the ds front of the engine inner casing, the section that the outer casing bolts to when fixing the kdp. I am assuming this would require 5-8 hours to repair does this sound right? Would be nice to have a leak free truck.
Thanks for any responses in advance.

If it's leaking inbetween the block and the case it will take a lot more than 8 hours unless you luck out and just tightening the bolts under the case fixes it.
Work involved would be the same as replacing a KDP cracked case otherwise.

Thanks infidel for the link.
I did do the KDP but I am not setup to work removing the cam and case. I should have tightened the inner when I did the KDP but didn't think of it.
Dang.. I thought the oil that was leaking was from the replaced shaft seal with the KDP kit. It is a manageable amount that leaks but still pita.

I just did that to my truck last weekend. I had it the case stripped off in about 2.5 hours, but going back together is always much slower. It was about 12 hours total, thats including drilling the crank and re-finding TDC. Depends on how much you clean. If you just clean the mating surfaces, you can shave some time off. I cleaned all the grime off all my underhood parts while I had the opportunity.
Back when these trucks were new and still under warranty dealer trick to save money was to remove the cover, loosen the case to block bolts and pry the case away from the block enough to squirt some RTV in the leak area without removing the gear and/or cam.
Totally not the right way to do it and didn't always work.
Sometimes it would fix the leak but start leaking in another place.

I think I saw some RTV around the area already possibly was done the quick and profitable for the dealer way b4.
Typical $$ over quality attitude that is rampant nowadays. SaylaVee.
