no start - no 12v to starter
I'm trying to figure out a little problem with my truck, and need some help from the experts.
day 1 - truck would not start 30 minutes after having driven it (no power to starter at all). I found a 40A fuse blwon under the hood, replaced it, and all seemed well.
day 2 - 3 days later, truck would not start again, same issues and same fuse blown. This time tho, it kept blowing fuses. I finally put a 50A in and it started. Got home and found the braided stainless line for my fuel press gage had rubbed into a hot wire off the battery and was spraying fuel. Fixed this, and put in a 40A fuse, and it seems to be working fine now.
Are these symptoms indicative of another problem, or was the chaffed wire the culprit ??
