Purchased a 95 TD it has a fuel plate,gauges pyro and oil,b&d tourque converter and cat back exhaust. 98% of the time runs great but once in awhile it will not start when cold I am talking not real cold but cold like 6 degrees celcious .I can crank it over no problem the solenoid is lifting I can not push it any farther up when someone is cranking it for me. I do not smell any diesel out of the exhaust then all of a suddden it will crank over and start when ever I start it it will run low rpms I will bring it up to a 1000 and hold it for awhile then it will hold 650 ish if plugged in it will start and hold 650 ish when warm it will run like a dream and no problem starting Never owned a diesel before but I love the truck any suggestions it has 114500kms on it now ???

 

beaner:<br>Sounds as if you have a leaking rubber fuel or return line. check down in front of your fuel filter for dampness. It may be difficult to find the leak, since even a small air leak will cause the symptoms you describe.<br>george
