There is a new clunking or rattle coming from what sounds like the back of the truck. It happens on rough roads, potholes... when both tires are doing different things, but on a speed bump or something where the wheel motion is the same on both sides there is no sound??? This is on the 94.

 

Does it have overload springs?

 

Mine had clunk as well. I pulled out the trailer hitch, and no more clunk.

Hope your's is as easy to fix as mine was.

 

no trailer hitch, and no overload springs, it almost seems to become less noticeable when the brakes are applied...

 

Check your sway bar links, if equipped. I have that same rattle, most noticed over short/sharp bumps. While your down there, look at the shock bushings and the shocks themselves. I've seen the outer shield of the shock become so rotted it clangs against the inner piece and rattle. Check other obvious things, like spring shackle bushings, wheel bearings, spare tire, etc. for anything loose.
