Low Fuel Pressure, Is This a Problem?

I've got the 887 pump in the truck, most of tthe big problems are taken care of, except for one. I have a reg 150 FASS for the 24v trucks, running ~17psi. I know the 12v stock does ~25psi at idle, and 35+ at 2000 rpm. But, would there be any reason why I couldn't start and get the engine going on the lower fuel pressure? I don't see why I couldn't (I've seen numerous posts about fuel pressure dropping to 0 at higher hp on these trucks), but I'm still learning about these pumps and don't want to fubar it before I even get it going on the street.
