I bought a used '98 12v with 150,000 miles and am not sure if the KDP has been fixed or not. I have been told that the only way to tell is taking the front end apart as if fixing it for the first time. What aftermarket horsepower addition or factory part that has been prone to failure should I replace when the front end is apart?

 

When I did the KDP, i put a new water pump and fan clutch on. It was easier to do it then rather than later. I also pulled rad and flushed it. Also installed new upper and lower rad hoses and clamps.
