Injection system mait. ?'s
Injection system mait. ?'s
Ive been thinking about taking my truck down to cummins to do some work.
1. Adjust valves
2. Set timing to 15.5
3. Check injectors
I want them to check the pop-off and also ID them. Is this a waste of money as far as checking pop-off and possibly having them rebuilt?
Anything else i should have them do while im there?
How much do you think the above will cost??
Thanks guys, this site is the best in my book!

Most diesel shops will tell you not to mess with the injectors unless you have symptoms of a bad one. A lot of shops will test your injectors for free or a minimal charge, but you have to take them out.
Not sure what the timing is on a '98 but Cummins by emissions law won't set your timing to other than the factory specs. You'll have to go elsewhere if you want it advanced.
