whats the difference between a HX35 and an HY35 and does the 12 valve use a different turbo than the 24 valve. How wud you tell which turbo you have?

 

HY was used on 24valve autos only. There should be a tag on the compressor housing of any holset that will have the model number. Your truck will have an hx35 or a wh1c. Both chargers are identical from a performance standpoint.

 

whats he purpose of yur drive pressure gauge? is it basically a ebp gauge?

 

It's been a help setting up the stiffness of the springs holding the vgt closed and yes, I now use it to keep track of exhaust braking pressure.
