Help! I need someone to look and my truck and give me some advice, opinions. Questions: general recomendations, what are others experiences, appropriate mods, does my truck perform normally??? (seems too) ......... This site has been invaluable but I'm at a point where I would like input from someone who has a passion for Dodge diesels.

The story: A few months ago, I bought a 98 12 valve project truck with over 300 thousand miles. I've purchased the service manuals and have been busy fixing leaks and doing general maintenance. I collect JD tractors and restore chain saws so I have some mechanical experience.

Since you're close, you should check out the Northwest Bombers - a great group of local enthusiasts. There are many of them here on the DTR, and we have our own site to which anyone is welcome at @http://www.nwbombers.com/forum/index.php?act=idx. We also have in-person get togethers and 'bomb parties' at which we all fix up and bomb our trucks.

There will for sure be someone near you that wouldn't mind getting together and taking a listen. I was just recently in the same place as you myself, not sure of whats normal or not.
