Head gasket help?
Hey guys,
I was driving home today and noticed that i was loosing oil pressure FAST, so I pulled over to find oil was pouring out from under the truck. Lucky I was less than 5 minutes from home and had some fresh oil in the back. When I popped the hood there was oil all over the passenger side of the engine and that the oil pressure was dropping again as I pulled in to park the truck.
First question, does this sound like a blown head gasket?
Second question, if so what is the best recommended head gasket to replace the old one with?
Third question, I have ARP head studs and bolts installed already, can I re-use them? they only have about 5,000km on them. My truck info is in my sig and it's building about 60-65psi of boost.
I appreciate any help on this, so thanks in advance.

You'd have to have a good look at where the oil is coming from. The oil cooler is also on the passenger side, as is the turbo, that could develop a big leak and pour it out. I don't think you typically get oil spray out of the passenger side of the head, as the oil passages are on the drivers side. I know one guy's failure was at the front and sprayed it into the fan and just covered the whole engine bay.
If you do replace the gasket, buy one from Cummins.
As long as your studs haven't been over-torqued/over-stretched, you can reuse them indefinitely. Just give them a good look over for any deformation or damage, specifically to the threads.

Update: It turned out to be the head gasket blew, like I thought it did. I ended up buying the cummins .010" gasket and everything is good now. Just a lot of oil on the engine to burn off haha.
