Fuel solenoid issue electrical

My work truck is a 97 Dodge CC, LB 4x4. The truck has 340,000 miles on it.
I went to start the truck after work today to move it and it would not start.
Checked the fuel solenoid and it had not popped up. I tried to manually push it up with the truck in the run position and it didn’t stay. Thinking I had a fuel solenoid issue I took it off and tested it on my personal truck, it popped as soon as the key went to the start position. I then switched the fuel solenoid relay, same thing. Worked just as it should in my personal truck… I checked the plug. In the on position I am getting voltage out of one of the wires, and in the start position I am getting voltage out of the other wire (not sure if I am getting voltage out of both while in the start position) I checked these using the ground within the plug not the battery, so the ground in the plug seems good as well. I also hooked the fuel solenoid from my personal truck up to the work truck and still no go. The only thing I can think is that there is a short in one of the wires and not allowing the amperage needed? The truck turns over just as it always has. I haven’t had any starting issues with the truck before. As of right now I have the fuel solenoid off with a small bungee cord holding the fuel lever up so I can drive it but I need to get this fixed correctly
Thanks in advance for any help.

Diagram says it all.
Somewhat common for wires to get corroded under the insulation where you can't see it. They will carry 12 volts no problem but not enough amps.

Sorry for sounding dumb, but are you saying that you think its the fusable link on the blue/ red black wire? Or are you saying that it could be any of the wires?

The most commonly corroded wires are the blue fusible link and the brown wire off the starter.
These only effect the lift circuit though.
If you're also having trouble with the hold circuit problems are usually a blown #9 fuse, bad key switch or ASD relay.

Thanks for the help, I did some more testing, and ended up finding out that when the solenoid was unplugged all my voltages were as they should be, however once the solenoid was plugged in I was showing positive voltage on the ground wire. I ran a jumper ground from the battery to the plug (unplugging the factory wire) and all is good. The ground wire must be damaged somewhere in the harness. Thanks again for your help.
