When I am installing fire rings with the head only cut, all I do is put the gasket on the block and set the rings inside of the gasket fire rings.....right? Every thing should line up as long as the head is cut right shouldn't it?

Thats a dern good question... when I did mine I did grooves in the head and the block so it was easy to line mine up perfectly... all I had to do was set them in the groves. I'm not shure how you would make shure that the fire rings set in good with the head as you lower it on the block. You might want to give Haisleys a call and see what they suggest. I would definantly not just guestimate and set the rings on the block inside the gasket and hope for the best.
