Thumbs down Darn looks like I got the dreaded 53 Block
Finally looked for the # and yup seems I'm one of the rare 12V that's got this block

Should I limit my Bombing ? I eventually wanted about 450-500 HP

mine is too... I did 535rwhp and I'm shooting for 700+ once the new clutch goes in.

Fulmer did over 800hp on his 53 block.

I wouldn't worry. seems the 24v's had the majority of the problems

I guess if it cracks it cracks not much you can do by the sounds of it
