Dana 60?

I've got a 96 Ram 2500 which is the 8800 GVW model. This has the Dana 60 front axle and NOT the 44, correct? I'm in need of front end parts and don't want to order the wrong stuff.

Thanks.

All of the Dodge 2500 and 3500 models up though the point when Dodge switched from Dana (??2004??) used a Dana 60 on the front. However, you should take note of the identifying numbers for your axle which are stamped onto the little metal band attached to the bolts that attach the diff cover to the housing.

All the 8800 lbs. 2500's have d60s. The 7500 lbs. 2500's had a D44 front and D60 rear.
