Crazy Rattle At Idle!!
Has my converter come loose?
Ok so this is NOT the truck in my sig.
95 auto 2x4 laramie slt 220 kilometers
Perfect oil pressure (same as mine) at idle and reving
smooth running above idle like perfect
Shifts into all gears and moves in all gears
At idle it Rattles like it's coming apart! When you start to gently bring the rpm's up the rattling will start and stop until about 1100 rpm then it stops completely.
Same symptoms in neutral park and driving.
I thought it was knocking at first but it's definately a rattle
any ideas?
thanks

Well I removed the inspection cover on the bottom of the trans and there is a fair bit of aluminum filings in there. about 1mm thick.
I stuck my 1/4 drive between the trans adapter and the flexplate and could get it to move 1/4 " or so.
I started the truck and the flexplate is occolating about .5"!
Yall figure that's the problem?
No leaks at all by the way.
