cold start problems
cold start problems
my truck always started and idled well till a year ago, know I have to put my foot on the throttle to get it to take and it runs rough for awhile, when i go down the road I'm seeing a lil blue smoke and sometimes it'll miss a lil if I step into it to soon, it's got 94,000 miles and uses no oil, all stock, just k,n filter, 12 valve. anythoughts on this.?
Clean the fuel filter housing and change the fuel filter . That way you know that can be it. $42 to marty for an overflow valve, which sets fuel pressure. Sounds like maybe its not seating all the way. After that your probably into lift pump. Take a look at the fuel solinoid , make sure its pulling open all the way when you turn the key (before you at start), if it gets bound up it could run like that.
Could be as simple as a idle set too low

Ill have to get out my hayes manual and find out where those things are located, truck idles normal after it's been run for 10 minutes (750) but sometimes still chugs when I step into it.
