Check engine light

I'm a little perplexed here...

Went out during break to move the old girl around to the other side of the building so that I can make a fast exit today after work. I did do a semi bad thing in that I did not pause for the wait to start lamp but it was not needed as it's only about 33 degrees according to the overhead, she fired right up with no complaints. I let her idle for a really long time (read: waited for oil pressure to come up) then dropped her in first and idled around the building (I'm paid by the hour ya know). Well the check engine light came on... EEK!

It's a mechanical injected engine, with a bolt action tranny, oil pressure was up and I was not stressing her so what could be the problem?

The only thing that I can think of that could throw any kind of a code would be the ABS system... Am I on the right thought pattern train here? Because since the engine is mechanical along with the tranny there should not be anything that could make it turn on correct? Other than oil pressure...

Your thoughts...

My '95 has lit the check engine light a few times when I don't wait for the wait to start light to go off and drive slowly with the headlights on. Think the PCM must get a low voltage signal and thinks the alternator's acting up.

Don't think it's any big deal but whenever the check engine light comes on it will set and store a code for the next 50 on/off cycles. You can check what code was set by following the instructions here, my bet is you'll get a 47 http://dodgeram.org/tech/dsl/trouble..._DTC_codes.htm

Ah I forgot about how easy it was to get codes from a Mopar... Thanks for reminding me and leading me to the actual code meanings...

I'll cycle them out later on this morning...
