No, but I needed to get the oil in town while I was getting RTV.
I couldn't find any, so I am jamming in 4qts of Mobil1 synthetic just to get me going until tomorrow. I hope it won't cause any damage for a day or so. I won't be pulling or hauling anything, so... I'm headed back out to try to finish up. It's warmed up to 42!

You're thinking of Syntech, which won't work.
Due to a deal between Castrol with DC and GM Syntorque is only availible in quart quantities from the dealers.

You might be right. But we buy it at work by the 5 gallon bucket from an oil distributor.

I had to buy mine from the dealer and it ended up being $107 for 5 quarts....but the fresh oil sure did make it shift good

Never buy from the the dealer. Either go to a quick lube or a transmission shop. Bulk=less $$$
