Can I reuse a head gasket ?

Check the head, deck, & gasket for any signs of loosing the sealant around the oil & coolant feeds. If clean, re-use it and DON'T add any sealant. Thermoprint gaskets use a unique chemistry that is not compatible with regular sealants.
Your chances of NOT blowing the gasket are much better than never. Time frame is up to you. Why? You bombed the 24 valve truck and will probably follow with your 12 valve. A bombed 12 valve is more likely to blow the head gasket.
