I messed my injector pump up when i turned in the fuel screw. Can i put the newer 12 valve injector pump in my 92

 

You will need, the pump, timing cover, injection lines with holders, and injectors.

 

Is it a hard job the process of taking the pump off is a little nerve racking

 

Its not too bad of a job. Do a search on here about p-pumping a 24v. It will be basically the same, except you won't need to buy custom injection lines. Probably cheaper and easier to just swap in a p-pumped 12v though.
