Best place to purchase a new torque converter these days?

The very first upgrade I plan on doing to my "bruiser" (hey it's painted black and blue) 92 Inter-cooled 12v is torque converter, I hate transmission problems more than anything because of the lack of competent transmission shops on my island. Plus, I live in the tropics, it gets hot, don't want to cook the trans as soon as I do the engine mods! Many moons ago, in the early 2000s, Goerend was the place to go for this. Does that still hold true for folks that have done trans upgrades to their first gens? Looks like 650 bucks plus shipping for the good non-lockup? I believe this is the one I need since I will be changing the governor to 3200rpm?

Goerend is always known for quality parts. I have heard good thing about DPC converters in the past, not sure what they offer for non lockup though.
