My trans is on it's way out. Plus I want to build up the engine some, so I'm in need of a good quality rebuild.

First thought was to call Goerend and find a local installer - but they don't have one in Northern Illinois.

I've searched and can't find any shops in the area to specialize in Dodge Diesel transmissions. I'm tempted to drive 5 hours to the middle of Iowa to have Goerend install it. (Hopefully it wouldn't take too long).

Any other suggestions? Can any decent shop handle the install?
