Exclamation Anyone know where i can get manual conversion stuff?

Does anyone know someone who has a parts truck with the manual stuff in it?
I'm pricing out what it would cost for a conversion, and i cant find the odds and ends i need to make it happen locally.
I must be the most indecisive dodge owner ever, ive been debating this transmission issue for a month.
Anyway, suggestions on where to get the little stuff for a decent price?

conversion

I am working on the same thing...looking in local shops for used or reman trans......i have heard that a junkyard is the surest bet for some of the little stuff...by far the cheapest......look around on the web for a conversion kit....i found a place called 'high impact transmission and drivetrain' (I think that is the name or close. they sell a kit with much of the hardware...but i am quite unfamiliar with the company and need to find out more info first. probably didn't help much...but just my .02. redwake

The swap isn't bad at all. I got all the major parts from www.gundies.com its out local recycler, I think they ship. I'm pretty sure they have a couple dodge ctd's there right now to do the swap from, but shipping is the only question.

I have a list of every single part u need to do the swap, if ur interested I can write it out and show where I got each part (minus, trans, pedals, flywheel and shifter) I got those in one shot at the junkyard. The swap ended up costing 2000 or alittle less can't remember. thats after I sold the auto for 700, and bought a new clutch and clutch master/slave.

I just checked and they have a few nv4500's, one from a 2000 CTD, a 1998, and a 1995. each for $1200, and u get a 6 month warrenty. THey ship with UPS or frieght, so maybe price shipping to see if it's worth it.

The floor boots for a 94-98 are still avable from the dealer for around $60 each. I need to get a new lower boot my self. I paid $1600 for all of the parts except the clutch and $1000 for a 13.25" upgrade from SB. To build my auto it was going to cost aroung $4500. I am very happy with my swap overall havent pullled with it yet but I'm looking for a reason to go camping.

The petal assy shifter boot and slave cyl from a 1500 gasser is the same which is easer to find than a salvage cummins. I had a dealer in my area that had all of that stuff but I don't know if they will ship or not. Here is my costome shifter setup.

I've got all the internal parts and can get a bell housing and input shaft for the T-case. If my 97 sells I'll be looking to get rid of this stuff.

Check with DShiftFF. He has all that stuff since he just went from 5 speed to auto. He's Signal73 on TDR and Competition Diesel. DShiftFF@aol.com will get him by email.
