Yea I like the smoke to especially when the bicyclist ;D ;D ;D are out in the summer narrow two lane road mountain road is no place for them. The reason I asked about the springs is that I set the star wheel as loose as I can and it still does not smoke very much I have checked a the fuel supply I have a number 6 plate lots of power just not much smoke it seems like the afc springs could stand to be a little softer. To allow my fuel to come on sooner.

CGS,

I'd suggest you slide your AFC housing forward about a 1/16" or so. You will get more fuel BEFORE boost starts to build. That will give you more smoke. You can cut it back a little by tightening up the spring, if needed. I personally like to set my AFC spring pretty loose.

Of course, I prefer to make as little smoke as possible. It's more stealthy, indicates a cleaner burn, and won't get the "tree huggers" on our backs as bad.

Vin

Re:afc spring benifits

vin I agree with you on the tree hugger part. My afc is all the way forward and so is the plate and it will smoke a little on take of but not a whole lot maybe that is normal I am just compareing it to my 86 turbo ford that If I would want to I could really lay down a smoke screen until the turbo picked up. I can control the amount of smoke with my right foot and it seems like the dodge just does not give it enough. Maybe that is normal ??? ???

Mine is set up that way too...not alot of smoke unless I pour on power under load then it clears up fast after the turbo spools up ;D

If you really want more smoke just take the AFChousing off and take the lottle boot looking thing off. Mine made a lot more smoke after that.
DM01

Take it out and the rack stop just falls right out. Reinstall said bolt and reinstall the AFC housing.

Trust me that WILL throw smoke! CMNS PWR did it to mine so I could live up to my name, but I had to reinstall at the time because my idle was too low and I couldn't leave a stop light without throwing down a cloud!

Technical. I came to this site not to be technical.
O well I still like saying the little boot looking thing because if a guy has never done it before he will not to know what to look for and just daying rack stop will not really help.
I was giving it to him as easy as possible.
DM01
Mark you know I'm not a technical person [undecided]
