Adding clearence lights

is the harness for clearance lights already equipped in a 98 truck? i heard it was on first gen trucks but i don't know anything about these 2nd gens. if it is equipped would it be hard to install a pair?

EDIT: is it also possible to take a sport style bumper off a 2002 truck and put it on a 98, is it a bolt on match or would their be minor fab required?

The wires are not there, but the "cutout" locations on the roof are. Go buy the Chrysler kit, it only takes about 3-4 hours.

Are the cutouts visible from the inside if the headliner is removed?

Save yourself the later chance of a huge headache an pay the 125$ to get them professionally installed. That way if ANYTHING goes wrong during the install you don't have to pay outa your pocket to fix it. By problems I mean screwing up your headliner, possible leaks, ect. It was something I knew I coulda done if I really wanted to, BUT when I weighed the consequences of one screw up I knew it was best to go with professional install.

It's quite simple with the chrysler kit, I bought mine from a web site--mopar4less.com

One word of caution, DO NOT use the template to drill the holes, pull the headliner and look at the roof.
