That's what I was thinking. I'm about to buy one

I know I can make it work, especialy for the price

 

I put a 94 into my 98. Difference was that the 94 has a speed sensor in the tailshaft housing, and the 98 has the newer (better) top cover. Everything else fit up as it should. Keep in mind, this was all on a 2wd.

 

put a 96 motor in my 03 with nv4500 it bolted up fine to the tranny few mods for the truck tho

 

I put a 99 inro a 94 if this helps.
