I have a 97 dodge ram2500 4x4 5.9 12v Cummins with the 47re auto first I think I have a od problem . 2nd It stays I 2nd gear and will not shift to 3rd or 4th gear nor first when I hit the brakes and the gen light with come on I turn the truck off check wires and then un hook both batterys then hook them up after 5 mins then I crank it about 30 to 45 seconds the gen light comes back on and truck stays in 2nd gear I think it could be the trans controller or just needs new solenoids. If any one can give me some advice about this I would really appreciate it thanks ..

Does the speedo register below 10 mph?

 

I lost my account stuff but yes the ac works and the speedo dont read at all
