On a 1993 w250 would there have been a 4x4 light in the dash? Running 93 power train in a 74 body. GF drove around in 4x4 for a week as there’s no warning light on the dash…. I’d like to wire one in same as I did for the grid heater and overdrive.

 

Yes, the '93 would have come with a 4x4 light that illuminates on the dash when it is in 4x4.

It with be the switch with two flat blades sticking out of it. They will be 90* for each other.
