4wd Actuator

I was having problems with my 4wd actuator on my truck. It's a 95 2500 5 speed. Anyways, I got sick of it kicking in and out of 4wd when I was doin 60 down the road. So I welded the fork over to make sure it stayed locked in for a temporary fix. Now I want to put it on a pull cable so that the fronts not locked in at all times. I was wondering if I can get that actuator off any second gen including a half ton, or even the jeeps that have them?

Nope, Dana 44 in those.

If you are going posi-lock anyway, just order up a new fork along with the kit, then it will be all new.

Easier then finding a used Dana 60 actuator housing.

**** I was hoping they would be the same size. But I had to weld the shaft in place so it wouldn't move so I'll have to buy a whole new actuator housing and I'm not really wanting to spend $100 on a brand new one.

I bought the Posi-Loc kit ($154) and a new fork ($29) and just replaced the whole unit.
I have the WHOLE OLD unit with housing, OLD DOA ACTUATOR and a FORK if interested.

I ended up going to the dealership and seeing about the fork on the half tons and they came up as the same. So I found one that works perfect for $30 at a junk yard. But I still went and got the stuff for the posi-lok. That jeep forum one save me a lot of money. Thanks everyone for the help
