Angry 47rh Guys Is this right?

Im almost done with my G30 rv cummins swap but these tanny problems are slowing me up, hoping someone can help me out.

I have a 95 rh, using switches for od and lock up straight to the harness on the tranny. Overdrive drops in and out if grounded, cant get any lock up at all. I put my ohm meter on each solenoid and get around 30 ohms. Is there a way to test these thing out of the truck, like give them juice and hear them click or something?

And take a look at my pics, i circled what i thought looked a little weird, is that spring suppose to be sticking out like that??

Thanks for any ideas!!!

that spring hanging out is not right and if the spring is opposite the overdrive and or lockup solenoid that would be your problem buy the atg book on these transmissions best thirty bucks you will ever spend there are detailed pics on what the valve body should look like and how it goes together.I think something is broken buy the book and a shift kit or a valve body all done
