Can you replace the second gear lever without pulling the tranny on a 47rh? I am almost sure I have a broke lever or strut. No second and the band adjust screw will not bottom. I know there is a plug behind the converter but can you push the pin over enough to replace the lever without pulling the plug. If I need to pull it I need to get a trans lift.

 

Pretty sure you have to pull the trans and pull that little plug out to get the pin out of the way enough to get the lever out.

Won't know till you drop the pan, but it could be a bend strut.

 

It's the lever. I am going to drill a hole in the converter housing to get the plug out. It has a 3.8 lever in it and I think I will go for a 4.2 or 5. Driving without second for now.
