my buddy has a 47 re that was just rebuilt with a red eagle kit transgo valve body and shift kit with a billet converter, and it shifts into 2nd at 3mph 3rd at 10, and he pulled back the tv cable and no differance, what gives help.

 

you will need to have a diagnostic scan done on the trans while driving.
I had the same trouble on one of my previous trucks...turned out to be the solenoids.... One of the reasons why I hate automatics and went backi to 5 speeds

 

mine has same issue the local shop has not been able to fix it. they think cpu

 

I wound up having the trans rebuilt. The solenoids, overhaul, and I am thinking the speed sensor in the rear end too.
All in all $1400.00 to fix it. I saw all this coming when I test drove the truck and purchased an extended warranty...........
