Hi there I am swapping out my bluish grey 98 Dash and replacing it with a black grey 2000 Dash. I’ve already swapped in the black leather interior, carpet, and panels from my 2000 Sport gasser parts truck and this is the last thing that I have to do to make it all match.
The new dash also has the heated seats controls in it. I’m wondering what wiring issues I might encounter. Will the wiring harness is be compatible between 98 and 2000?
I know that I’ll need to use the gauges and computer from my old dash and likely some of the wiring from my the donor truck (heated seats controls). If I were to use the wiring from the 2000 gasser donor truck and just swap in the instrument panel, would the rest connect up OK? The donor truck wiring also has connections for the power seats.
Also, how do you release those bugger fuse panel wiring harnesses that plug in under the dash? What a pain!
Any help/ words of advice would be great. Thanks so much, Tony Work in progress!
