1995 freightliner 5.9 ctd

Is this the same engine as the dodge trucks? I think the one i looked at said 195 hp. It belongs to a friend and he wants to juice it up a lil bit.

Yep, pretty much. The cam is different for more low end torque, but all the same mods work. That '95 should have the p7100 pump like the 2nd gen 12 valves. You can't turn up a medium duty the same amount as a pickup and expect it to live a long life, the medium duty trucks work the engine pretty hard just pushing the brick through the wind.

I have a 94. It runs great I probably could run 75mph up the mountains. Keep a close eye on the pyro when you start +++HP. Dave I got this truck running good now 70mph maybe a little past half throttle. Not bad for a barn door

same motor....peak torque at 1500rpm too...probably a 215pump (good)...have fun

Yeah, this thing has the P-Pump. Im gonna get him hooked up with a set of gauges and turn him loose! THANKS

Cool. I saw it on Friday, looks nice. I think the governor spring was a great addition to that truck. Gives you some pedal left over at 70, eh?
