I have a 1995 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 12 valve that will not start. I have a new starter, and it now "clicks" from the ECM behind the air cleaner on the passenger side. Is there a starter relay inside here that can be replaced? If not, are the ECMs from this generation interchangeable, or do they need to be "reflashed" in order to work. It started to click after trying to start it for a number of minutes a week or so ago.

'95 PCM will interchange with '94 PCM that had the same transmission, IE auto or manual.

Other year 2nd gen PCM are different and will not work for you.

If you end up needing one. I do have a couple of them in my shop.

 

Is there a replaceable relay inside the ECM?

 

changed both engine to battery grounds, and it turned right over!
