What is the differance in the 1997 180hp engine and the 215hp engine from the factory. I know they put 180hp in the autos and 215hp in the manuals. I have to run a #4 plate to equal the power a 215 with a #10 plate has.

 

Both will put out alot of hp without that mutch work. The 215 pump seems to be more desirable for racing although the 180 pump can easily pump enough fuel for 600+ hp.
I think the waste gates may be set differently too.
