12V in KOMATSU trackhoe
12V in KOMATSU trackhoe
Recently one of our 200 komatsu trackhoe's quit on me, was pretty low on fuel and on an incline so I assumed it run out. Well fueled it up and got it back running with either, ran for probly 45 mins and quit again, We found out it wasnt getting fuel to the inj pump, so we fgured problem was the mechanical tranfers pump, Any how to shorten this up, replaced the transfer pump and all has been well for the last 21 hrs, Now to my question, Does the 12V have the problem of killing the inj pump soon after the lift pump has went bad like the 24V?
Injection pump will be fine.
Quite common for a lift pump that has been dead for quite some time to show up when you run out of fuel, change the filter or break open a fuel line. What happens is the injection pump will suck fuel but if just one gulp of air hits it it will airlock and quit sucking.
