Hehe 12%.. sorry I did not think about taking a pic of the 18% sign on the Vrsic pass, and of the signs that do not declare a percentage.. but it's way more than 18% on the WW1 roads in these mountains.
And a lot of those have cobblestone switchbacks built between 1915 and 1918.

This and a motorcycle.. I'm not sure there's more fun to be had with clothes on

Again, beautiful! Are you still flying? I would love to see photos from the air also!

Sorry, I don't fly anymore..
It got much too expensive. A Cessna 182 is now at about 200 US$ per hour.

Ouch! I agree on the bike choice!

I keep telling the Bride I need another bike. I haven't owned one for about 30 years. She still says no, but at least the no takes a little longer each time....

Needed to air out my head- and instead of going on my "airhead" BMW I used the "waterhead" GasGas 2 stroke.

The photos bring back some great memories. Took a trip to Salzburg in '12 - rode the train in from Munich. It was just beautiful. Wish I could have stayed longer and I sure hope to go back sometime to see more of the countryside.

Thanks for the pics.

A little more movement

Well, I bought an "action cam", meaning I can bore everyone with endless videos

A short ride through the Weizklamm. (Only about 3 minutes.. it's a very short piece of road, but some nice views)

Hope that works and hope you like it.

Spring has sprung, and the snow is getting soggy wet. Hard to find a place to put the kickstand down and not topple over. Fun fun fun!

Your adventures remind me of the band RUSH , and its drummer , Neil Peart. He has traveled the world on his bike, and made the experiences available to all on his website

Welcome to the official website of Neil Peart

Simply awestruck each time I'm on his site.

I think I will have to scan some pictures from a long time ago..

I did travel a lot, on motorcycles, in cars, planes etc...

Neal Pert's site is really cool, thank you!
