just saw an aisin as68rc...
this thing is relatively small, but weighed in at 350+lbs,
trainning centre had the unit torn down, for trainning purposes. this unit was fresh off the assembly line. after seeing the internals i have all the confidence in the world this trans is going to be stronger than the allison! front pump: 15-20lbs, torque converter: 310mm and heavier than the 48re, multiple tcc clutch pack. i have some pictures of the internals that i will upload and post.

Not to start a auto vs manny war---but I hope that DCX gets this one right-------I would like to get one for the wife and the Manual just dosent fly with her. She wants a Mega Cab !!

I already have a 6-speed, I'm tryin to talk her into the 6.7 and Orion combo. I would love to have one of each...6-speed manual and 6-speed auto! I'll probaly end up with 2 6-speeds manuals though.

I dont know but my wife says I can get a new mega if I give her my truck. That would mean 2 fat payments. forget that. maybe when I pay it off, or her mustang off.
