the next best thing from fifth wheel hitch is to move your hitch as far forward as you can.
modification to the exhaust and trailer is next

I went to the DMV to register the truck today.I change the registration from cab and chassis to sports utility truck . Since the truck is no longer considered commercial the fees drop to $118.that's a savings of $300

new truck 1998 12v 4x4 pick it up in Vegas the Craigslist ad said it was 24 valve with computer problems. flat tow it with a custom towbar

Why wouldn't you at least keep the frame running all the way to the back so you could tow a normal trailer?

You do some seriously clean work from what I can see, but I am absolutely not a fan LOL! My old truck was a normal short bed....never again LOL

Why are you having to chop up 8' bed trucks? When I was looking for one the short bed trucks seemed to out number them by 50%

you need to understand leverage.the further in the hitch the less leverage it will tow more like fifth wheel or gooseneck
