Whats is the start voltage

My 2001 has 2 batteries, both just over 4 years old, yesterday morning when I started it sounded slower, more laboring. I took the batteries back to Sam's for testing, not sure it was a good test, but he said they were fine

I re-installed them, cleaned the terminals, and measured about 10.7 volts during the first start with a with a digital voltmeter. I probably should use an analog meter...but.

Charging voltage if ok

When they tested them, did they do them individually, not hooked together in the truck?

If so, one good can mask the bad one.

10.7 is way low.

No, I had them out of the truck, they were tested individually

I suspect the computer and VP44 don't like that low start voltage

I'd prefer the batteries, much cheaper!

^^^No.

My heavy duty contacts were less than 7 bucks and two hours to replace....Go to an auto electric place. The ones you can get online are way overpriced, just a fancy package and logo....
